Thrive Stands Behind:
Being Green and Clean.
A good business is a sustainable business.
That’s why we’re committed to:
1. Recyled Packaging
All packaging, boxes and inserts are made from recycled paper and are recyclable. We feel this is a critical part of our commitment to sustainability.
2. Eco-friendly vendors and suppliers
We are committed to supporting other sustainable businesses. From the brands we carry to the materials in our warehouse to the charitable partners we choose, every conversation starts with establishing shared values.
3. Being carbon neutral
Thrive Market is 100% carbon neutral through carbonfund.org. Our certification covers national shipping, packaging materials, warehouse utilities, even the work commutes of our team.
4. Doing the “little” things
Team Farmers' Market runs, an office herb garden, up-cycled furniture - environmental awareness permeates everything we do, small or large. These are our values as a business, but they’re also the values we live by personally.
All The Products You Love.
Thrive is a membership community that uses the power of direct buying to deliver the world’s best healthy food and natural products to our members at wholesale prices and to sponsor free Thrive memberships for low-income American families.
OUR MISSION IS TO MAKE HEALTHY LIVING EASY AND AFFORDABLE FOR EVERYONE.
Three Thrive Promises
1.
Only the highest quality healthy and natural products
2.
Always at prices 25-50% below retail
3.
Always committed to sustainability and social justice
1 paid membership = 1 donated membership
Expanding access to healthy living isn’t just our business model - it’s our mission. And it couldn’t be a more urgent one. Every year, 49 million Americans experience food insecurity while 80 percent of low-income families resort to buying food they know isn’t healthy just to make ends meet. Meanwhile, more than 23 million Americans today still live in “food deserts” - low-income neighborhoods where healthy natural food is nowhere to be seen.
Thrive Market can help change this. That’s why we’ve committed to giving a free membership to a low-income family for every paid member who joins Thrive.
That’s free access to over 2,500 of the highest quality natural and organic staples, snacks, home products, and baby products at 25-50% off retail prices. Over the next year, we will also be launching educational content and custom merchandising to help members who are new to healthy living learn the ropes and access dietary staples at wholesale prices.
We are inspired and humbled by the opportunity to make America healthier one family at a time and so grateful to every member who joins us to make that opportunity a reality.
Your Right to Know.
Thrive Market is passionately committed to creating a world that is free of genetically modified organisms, or GMOs. We believe everyone has a right to know what they are eating and what chemicals are used in the foods they consume every day. That’s why we have carefully screened our products to ensure we do not carry any GMO foods. We also focus on providing USDA Certified Organic options wherever they exist. Genetically Modified Organisms are prohibited under the USDA Organic guidelines.
We believe foods containing any genetically engineered ingredients should be clearly labeled. While the United States does not yet legally mandate the labeling of GMOs, we are committed transparency about the products we sell on Thrive Market. Many of the foods we carry are certified by the non-GMO project and/or certified Organic by the USDA, which prohibits the use of GMOs.
Though maintaining a catalog free of GMO foods is difficult, we are excited to support a growing supply chain where there is more visibility, accountability and success in awareness of genetically modified crops. We hope that major corporations will begin offering the non-GMO products they sell to European consumers to American consumers. We hope that certified Organic & non-GMO foods will become the industry standard, not the exception.
A Simple Solution.
Genetic engineering is an extremely important issue, and also one of the most complex issues. Tracing GMO ingredients with 100 percent accuracy is extremely difficult, as cross-pollination and seed drift can contaminate natural crops with genetically modified pollen. More than 70 percent of food sold in the United States contains some genetically engineered ingredients and we know how difficult it can be for shoppers to always take the time to find out what is in their food. At Thrive Market, you can trust that we will do our best to never sell GMO foods and we promise to make it right if something with genetically engineered ingredients should make it on to the site.
Thrive Market is now my number one place to shop for pantry staples like Real Salt, Bob's Red Mill, Dr. Bronners, Spectrum, and ALL things coconut. That's not all, in fact, there is over 3,500 real food items to choose from at Thrive Market.
