This article was originally written during the height of the 2020 pan-dem-ic but is still quite relevant for those looking for herbs and herbal products in the USA and Canada.
***
In light of recent events, it has become increasingly difficult to source the herbs needed to make herbal remedies.
Now is the perfect time to support our local wildcrafters, herbalists, and herbal companies during these uncertain times.
However, having said this, I am NOT recommending you go out and hoard these herbs! Doing so is pointless because herbs lose their efficacy over time the longer they are stored. What I am hoping to offer here is a resource where everyone benefits – you can (hopefully) get the herbs you need for medicine making and immune support and the herbal businesses get to stay in business.
Keep in mind that herbs, as a whole, offer a myriad of actions. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, the chances are high that another herb can do the same thing or similar.
I recommend doing your research, finding what meets your needs, and just getting what you need.
