It is black fly season already here in Nova Scotia. Do you have any recipes/blends to discourage them?
Aggressive little biters!
Really hoping you have something.
Thanks,

Have you tried lemon eucalyptus, lemongrass, or citronella essential oil? I often add a drop or two to a big dollop of aloe vera gel or lotion and apply that to my skin before heading out in bug infested territory and it works pretty well!

Hi Tash,
I adore this blog and it is helping me on my journey to be healthier and happier!
I was wondering if you could answer a question I have about plastic containers, I try my best to not use them but at the moment I have no choice but to use some cheap plastic bottles to put my oils and concoctions in, is that going to affect the oils or mixture of oils by any chance? It’s just some cheap plastic cosmetic bottles from a Japanese store called Daiso, I am new to all this and I just want to make sure I’m going to not hinder any of the affects by using plastic bottles... thank you
Tash says
Hi, Tanaya!
Thank you for your lovely comment! As for the plastic bottles, I'm not sure if Daiso uses BPA-free plastic or not. If they don't those chemicals can leach into your products which aren't very good for hormones. I don't think the plastic will hinder the effects of your recipes.
I always try to opt for glass when I can and often save the glass containers from other items I have used and run them through the dishwasher so I can use them for lotions and such.
I hope this helps 🙂

Hi,
I have a question about seed cycling. I am in menopause, I haven't had my period in a year. Can I do the seed cycling protocol? Are there benefits to seed cycling once you are in menopause? I am experiencing minor symptoms, some light hot flashes, irritability, general hormonal imbalance. Would seed cycling help these menopausal symptoms?
Thanks,
Daniele
Tash says
Hi Daniele!
You can use seed cycling at any time. During menopause, it can actually help your body balance its estrogen levels so I think seed cycling can definitely help! 🙂

Hi. I absolutely loved one of your articles on going natural, I found it funny because I literally googled a question about rose water and what could be the problem if you just started using it and your skin begins to breakout.
Like you, I’ve had a very up and down relationship with my skin, which also similarly to you is oily and sensitive if I’m not careful with products I use. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars in my dermatologists office and the results were always different, but it did help. I also was on these really harsh skin pills called roaccutane, like I’ve just been through the most. I just had a few questions so if you have an email I can send my questions to, I would really love to interact and overrall get some advice from you if you have the time. Look forward to hearing from you and learning so much more from your website I just stumbled upon ???
Kind regards, Aisha ?

Hi I have been following you for close to 2 years now and you have been of GREAT help to me. To this end, I have signed up to get your free ebook from yesterday and I am not seeing your email in my inbox/social/promotions folder.
I am not sure what is happening so I have decided to email you and let your people sort it out from your end.
I look forward to hearing from you.
